Has this site died before it even started?

Everybody probably noticed that very little happened on here in the past month maybe two.

1. There are practically no profile updates/posts/photos…
2. There are practically no forum posts.
3. As far as I know I have been the only one posting anything to any group in the past 2 months.
4. The only activity here consists of people registering, changing their profile photo and joining groups without doing anything else.

A part of it seems to be related to:

Why are you silent?

But I also noticed that development of the site ceased. Bugs are not being fixed, features are not being added. Moreover I am noticing additional problems. For example link recognition and uploading images is often broken.

Is this website dead?

In my opinion it’s a Catch-22 of people waiting for the site development to be completed before starting / continuing to engage with the site. And because not many people are active here, perhaps there isn’t that much of urgency to complete site development.

As for me, I also haven’t written a lot here, and haven’t come up with topics myself because offline life gets in the way. At the same time, I wouldn’t know what to write.

I expect a lot of it is that there isn’t much activity to stimulate other activity. It’s a common problem.

 

A particular issue that I encounter frequently is that since I use tor, I can’t get here a lot of times. If I’m blocked any particular day I just don’t recheck and sometimes it’ll be a few days or more before I can see that there isn’t any activity and I’m not real sure where to go to help generate some.

 

Let’s see if my personal favorite event happens, when I compose a post, but am blocked from posting (tor).
